Achieve Healthy Weight

As we age, shedding extra pounds can become a challenging feat.  A lot of women find that in their 40s and 50s what used to work in the past no longer does.   When this happens, it's easy to feel unhappy, stuck and demotivated, but it doesn't have to be this way.   Working with a professional who understands your life makes a huge difference.  I believe that healthy and lasting weight loss is only possible by addressing any inbalances in the body, getting healthy and  through making small changes made at a pace that feels comfortable and possible for you. Consistent follow through is the key and this will produce powerful results.

Finding the right diet for you. 

I don't believe in counting calories. I don’t think this is particularly useful or sustainable long term.  I also don’t believe in prescribing any particular diet as many of us have beliefs and ethics that shouldn’t be compromised.  What I do believe is reading the biochemical evidence of which macronutrient ratio will likely work for you and then supporting you with everything you need to integrate that into your life in the most fun and delicious way.   

Eating to satiety and Intermittent Fasting 

I will teach you how to eat so that you don't get hungry for hours and don't obsess about food as your body is getting everything it needs.   Learning to eat in this way means that you effortlessly get metabolically flexible and are finally able to use any available source of energy - whether it is the food you are eating or stored body fat.

 

Intermittent Fasting is a powerful tool we can use to improve our metabolic health.   Finding the right fasting window for you that works with your life and feels effortless is something we can work on together.

An important truth about our weight is that it is influenced by various factors beyond our diet.  Stress, sleep,exercise, digestion, food sensitivites, our hormone levels, our stories and beliefs about ourselves, our environment, relationships, medications and our genes all play a big part in this story.  I will therefore take a holistic approach and address all of these factors; supporting you to create the ideal conditions for you to achieve your healthy weight.
